Framed Finishes

It was a lovely weekend this week so I managed to get some pictures of the Train of Dreams and Faces of Faery 70 all framed and on my walls.

For the Train I chose a gold and pewter colour frame to fit in with the scrollwork on the train and the bindings on the books.  Because there are a lot of bright colours in the picture I went with a black and a dark green mount which picks out the colours in the dragons.  I hangs on the wall opposite my stitching chair so I see it whenever I look up.

I bought the frame for Faces of Faery 70 a little while ago and although the frame was the right size I got the measurements for the mount wrong and didn’t get around to replacing it until I got the frame for my train.  I went with a grey frame and the card is grey and a second mount of a cream colour.  The idea here was to pick out some of the colours in her wings and her skin tones so the colours in her hair and the heart stand out more.
