Stitch Along

This week has been stitch along week which was a good thing because it meant I didn’t have to make any decisions on what to stitch.  It’s the third week on QS Curl Up With A Good Book and for me that meant starting page 2.  Page 1 had lots of confetti (lots of individual stitches of different colours) which is how the detail is achieved in these designs.  But even knowing that doesn’t stop you wanting to scream in frustration as you change colours yet again.  I plodded on and got through it and was rewarded with a lovely page of blocks of colour, of course being a normal stitcher I sometimes find myself groaning as I’m faced with large areas of the same colour – we’re never happy.

I’ve managed to get myself halfway through the page which is a nice place to stop but it does mean that I have to make a decision.  I’m pleased to say that Whispers has won out over any new start, I’m preparing the fabric for a new start but I suddenly have a new found motivation for Whispers.  I got myself a small picture of how she will look when she’s finished and stuck her where I will see her everyday, since I’ve done that I’ve done nothing but want to stitch her.  So Curl Up goes away until the beginning of April and Whispers takes her turn on the stitching stand.  I have plans for my stitching area – all will be revealed soon.

QS Curl Up is coming along well. And no, us stitchers are never happy! Complain about a block of colour and then complain about the amount of colour changes. But it’s all worth it in the end…
