Teresa Wentzler’s Spring Carousel Horse – This was the piece I chose to stitch when I picked up stitching again after a break of a couple of years it might have been the new found energy after the break but this one did not take very long to stitch at all. Before that it had been sitting around for a long time in my stitching stash pile which shows that there’s still hope for everything in there.
Teresa Wentzler’s Spring Fairy – I really like Teresa Wentzler patterns I have a lot of them to do, at the moment the season fairies are waiting for me to complete the set before I get them framed.
Teresa Wentzler’s Autumn Fairy – This one is probably my favourite of the set and the apple is really colourful, the delicate colour changes are the thing that really sets a lot of her designs apart; rather than using lots of individual shades it uses strands of different shades stitched together to give a subtle colour change.
Michael Powell Secret Garden 2 – I got interested in the Michael Powell kits when I took up stitching again and a few were quickly introduced to my stash and stitched, I like the bright colours and the bold black outlines. The big blocks of colour means that they are nice to do between more detailed pieces.
Michael Powell Tuscan Gardens 1 – This one is the centre piece of a triptych so again I’m waiting to complete the other two before I get them framed together, the other pictures in the set are smaller and sit either side of this one.
Michael Powell Mini Venice Bridge – this one is a little design, I don’t remember getting the kit for it so it might have been a piece from a magazine.
Margaret Sherry Cats in Mugs – This was definately a magazine pattern, grumpy cat is too big to climb into mugs but if he could this is how he would do it.
Boothy Threads Cats Chorus – This kit wasn’t that large but it did feel like it took a while to stitch one of those where the threads seem to want to twist and tangle as soon as you pick them up. The finished picture looks great though.
Cat in Daisys – stitched so long ago I don’t remember who it was by, Heritage Stitchcraft possibly. I do remember that I got it because the cat reminded me of my aunt’s cat and I really like daisies.
