Getting colder

The weather is turning grey and damp, not much change to summer except it’s a little colder.  It’s going to brighten up but I think that just means that it’s going to get colder and I’m already starting to feel the chill in my stitching chair.  I’m certainly not feeling as cosy as Couch Dragon is looking.  He now has his book and coffee table – I love the little cat head on the leg of the table – perhaps he’s too engrossed in his book to notice the cold.

Another page and partial page done which leaves me with just two more full pages and four partials to stitch.  The end is in sight and I’m going to get straight onto page 10 and 16.  I’m looking forward to seeing the end of the rug, I think that’s the bit which has been slowing me down more than any other apart from that bottle.  There are so many oranges, browns and greens in the rug that if it wasn’t cold already I’d be thinking of autumn.  I think I’m still on track for a finish in November, it’s hard to believe that it’s November next week where did the year go.  I’m already plotting and planning what I’ll be working on next.  I was going to go back to Computer Catastrophes but Whispers is calling and so my plan at the moment is to spend a little time on her and then see about a new start.  Impulse caught me again and I’m getting everything ready for Trick or Treat, it’s a huge design much bigger than Whispers but I can’t resist so it will be my next long term project.  I really need to get some more finished and Snow Girl is beginning to sulk for attention too.

There’s been a little blog redesign too.  What I wanted was to be able to group my posts together by project so I could go back and watch the progress pictures go.  If you want to do that then click on the project name at the top of the page.  Or you can read the blog in blog order by clicking on the blog link at the top.  I’ve kept the parking guide and the gallery in the same place.  I’m experimenting with a variation on my parking which I’ll add to the guide once I’ve perfected it and taken some pictures.  Now though I’m off to get the next page of my pattern ready for stitching tomorrow.

Nikki, that is sooooo adorable! I haven’t bought this pattern yet, but your work is starting to make me want to do it. Can’t wait to see the finish.
